This Account Manager may write, solicit, manage, and service personal lines business, including home, auto, umbrella, renters, recreational vehicle, and life coverage. The Account Manager supports the producer and / or agency in the sale of new business, renews accounts in keeping with agency and individual goals, and builds relationships with clients through excellent service.
What you’ll do
- Customer Service – Answer questions, perform change requests, and process new business for clients by phone, mail, or email while maintaining security safeguards. Respond to every external communication within 24 hours.
- Quote and write new personal lines business using comparative rating software, and prepare clear proposals.
- Review renewals, remarket accounts when rates increase or when a client requests it, and recommend coverage and limit improvements.
- Round accounts by pairing auto with home, umbrella, life, and recreational coverage where it fits the client.
- Process policy changes and endorsements, including vehicles, drivers, lienholders, mortgagees, and coverage updates.
What we’re looking for
- Insurance, banking, or customer service experience preferred. We will train the right person.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks efficiently.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, web navigation, and online systems.
- Strong phone skills. Much of this position is spent on the phone with clients and carriers.
